Wezenspyk cheese farm has been making delicious Texel cheese for over 40 years. In 1981, Anton Witte started with the classic Texel Farmers' Cheese. Later, the range was expanded to include Texel sheep cheese. Today the farm also produces goat's cheese. Wezenspyk Cheese Farm is a true family business and a household name on the island of Texel.

Wezenspyk Cheese Farm
ARTISANALLY PREPARED
All our cheese is produced in a traditional manner in our own cheese production facility: true manual work. The cheesemakers fill all the barrels by hand. After the cheeses are salted, the hard work begins. At first, all cheeses are flipped daily and regularly covered with a protective layer. Later, we switch to flipping the cheeses every week. Plenty of handiwork and you can taste that!
Taste our delicious Texel sheep’s, Farmer’s and goat’s cheeses in the cheese shop. Our cheesemakers regularly experiment with new flavors and these unique cheeses can only be found for sale in our shop. Aside from our extensive assortment of cheeses, we also carry a wide selection of typical products from Texel, including Texel lamb meat.

CHEESE MAKING
At Wezenspyk Cheese Farm, we make Texel Farmer’s cheese almost daily. This means that in our cheese storage facilities, more than 25 tons of cheese can be admired as it matures. Photos, videos and information signs explain the entire process from the beginning to the final product: a delicious piece of cheese!
